DISCOVERY OF PELICANS
Today on our way home through Bandon we were stopping at a couple of the State
Parks. The last one, China Creek, was filled with hundreds of pelicans!! I'd never
seen so many at one time and was beyond happy with my discovery. The rains had
stopped and the color of the water and sky shifted between gray and a weak but
soft blue. I did 'tweek' the color a bit so the rolling waves as well as the birds might
be a little more appreciated. The dunes theyselves were outstanding. They had a
wonderful smooth look and with the various beach grasses on the dune hill tops....well
it just made for some beautiful pictures.
