north of Port Orford, take a left for about another 5 miles and there you are. It
has a beautiful lighthouse as well as the historic Hughes House near by. Cape
Blanco has been said to be the furthest point west on the contiguous United States.
During the winter the winds out there have reached up to 160 MPH! That's a
lot!! I liked this photo in black and white more than the color. It was windy the
day I took the photo and the sea was churning and messy looking. No control
freak here, huh!!
